Behind the Stage:
Q&A with Asia Camagong
Working at a company for eight years is impressive, but making an impact that brings laughter, positive energy, and unforgettable memories is remarkable.
In this special edition of Behind the Stage, we sat down with Asia Camagong, Manager at cred, to ask the burning questions we’ve all been dying to know after her eight-year journey with us.
Learn more about Asia, her favorite foods (and ones she thinks shouldn’t exist), her celebrity crushes (and the ones she just can’t stand), plus a few personal confessions she shared exclusively with us.
You’ve been asked to bring “The Asia”—a specialty dish all your friends and family know you for—to a potluck. What are you bringing?
Asia: Pie (apple or berry), and pecan tarts.
No surprise, for one of our cred baking champs.
If you were a potato, what type of cooked potato would you be?
Asia: Baked potato, because I like to get dressed up!
All dressed up!
What fruit or vegetable should not exist?
Asia: CUCUMBERS, not about the cooling properties of the vegetable.
We guess pickles are OK, though?
What’s your favorite summer food?
Asia: Corn, boiled corn.
What songs do you have completely memorized?
Asia: Burn & You Got it Bad - Usher
I’m Real (Remix) - Jennifer Lopez ft. Ja Rule
Let Me Love You - Mario
Editor’s note: We received an anonymous tip that Asia has also been seen belting out all the words to 98 Degrees albums. All the songs, not just the hits. We reached out to Asia for confirmation, but as of publication, no comment.
You have your own late night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest?
Asia: Paul Rudd.
Who is a celebrity that you really dislike?
Asia: Ansel Elgort and the Ready Player One guy. Justin Timberlake.
What celebrity do some people on the cred team really dislike?
The turkey. (Pictured here on a Slack call.)
What is one of the most absurd things you've been tricked into doing or believing?
Asia: I believed “gullible” was not in the dictionary for 0.5 seconds.
Interesting for someone once known team-wide as a Grammar Girl.
If you could change your name for a day, what would it be?
Asia: Banjo.
We’ll need to write you a new poem, Banjo.
What else has Asia been up to this year?
It’s been a big year for Asia—she got married, added to her family (hi, Gimli!), became Olive’s best babysitter, saw Keanu Reeves perform, and got to spend so much quality time with the cred team: at industry events, client happy hours, the cred offsite, and vacations in the PNW. Cheers to 8 years of Asia!
