From Micro to Macro: Event Planning Trends & 2025 Recap

Our event management team has been busy all year, and we closed out Q4 with a bang—it was full of memorable moments as we engaged with audiences across the globe. We kicked off with an immersive activation at Dreamforce, cheered in style from a Warriors game suite, curated a sponsor booth in Washington DC, hosted an electric summit in London, and curated intimate dinners and a DJ set during AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas just last week!

Across these moments, more than 300 leaders and innovators connected, exchanged ideas, and explored new opportunities across industries. Every gathering left a mark: celebrating innovation, connection, and the bold ideas that will carry us into 2026.

Q4 Highlights.

  • After dreaming of being onsite for one of the largest events in San Francisco, we were thrilled to be involved with Dreamforce for the first time as an event manager. Our client brought cred on board to manage an activation just outside the Moscone Center where the main Dreamforce conference took place. Inside Dreamforce, the client had a booth and was driving traffic to our activation space where folks could host meetings, relax with a massage, and participate in some fun games and activations.

  • In October, we hosted an exclusive 1-day symposium at the Pearl with a VIP welcome reception at The Battery. We coordinated all attendee travel bookings and managed a full day of logistics including AV, catering, private shuttles, and swag. The Hog Island mobile oyster station and event branded espresso martinis were highlights!

  • In November, we travelled across the pond to London to execute a two-day program that kicked off with a welcome dinner and continued the next morning with a half-day summit. Our team managed all venue-related details from start to finish, overseeing logistics, catering, on-site support, and even a group of carolers to ensure a seamless experience for each attendee.

  • For our last summit of the year, we produced an intimate gathering in Napa, managing the venue and coordinating every vendor touchpoint; from catering and furniture rentals to guest transportation and portable restrooms. As the November Napa temperatures dropped, we proactively brought in additional heaters to ensure the outdoor winery space stayed warm and inviting. The result was a seamless, well-orchestrated experience that kept guests comfortable and fully engaged throughout the all day summit.

  • We recently wrapped a week at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas on behalf of our client in the tech space—and it was one of our most insight-packed programs of the year. From branded meeting lounges to high-demand private dining takeovers, re:Invent showcased the power of thoughtful event strategy at scale. Throughout this week, we managed a meeting lounge, two private dinners, two receptions, and all the actions in between, including F&B, entertainment, and swag.

We’ve been tracking the momentum shaping 2025 and these are the top industry trends that stood out to us:

  • Micro Events: Big, generic mega‑events are giving way to smaller, purpose‑driven gatherings with personalized experiences. Think niche meetups, VIP previews, boutique workshops or targeted pop‑ups — designed to build deeper engagement and stronger emotional connections.

  • Pre-Event Engagement: The conversation starts before the event! Interactive content and tailored outreach kept attendees excited and involved this year. Try asking attendees what type of content they want to hear, or what roundtable discussion they are interested in - allows attendees to feel more in touch with the event before they even arrive, and holds them accountable to actually show up!

  • Attendee touchpoints play a direct role in event attrition: Are you staying connected enough with your registrants? The right communication cadence helps attendees feel accountable for showing up—without overwhelming them with too many emails. There’s a science behind finding that balance, and cred is here to help you nail the formula!

Who’s counting? Some standout stats from the year:

  • Our events team had 40 events done and dusted across 9 different clients

  • We were onsite for over half of all events, traveled to 6 different cities across the world to represent our clients at events, summits, dinners, conferences, and more

  • We managed and/or supported over $4,000,000 in client budgets this year—don’t miss our tips for budget strategy here

  • Worked with 70 fabulous vendors to bring our event visions to life—across photography/videography, catering, black car service, printing, entertainment/DJ, swag, and even a specialty arcade supplier!

  • Kicked off with 3 new clients this year, expanding our industry knowledge

  • Over 85,000 miles were flown by our team to be onsite! And we got our steps in - 400,000 steps across the team this year, to be exact!

  • Welcomed Natalie to our team, who has absolutely wow-ed us in her first 6 months at cred!

Another year down! Hard to believe we’re almost in 2026 (it always happens like that doesn’t it?).

We are extremely grateful for our clients who have given us the opportunity and trust to support their events this past year. We’ve produced successful event after successful event and created lasting impressions along the way—meeting attendees, producing content, building strategy, coordinating branding and design, choosing menus, and flying across the world to be there in person.

In 2026, we plan to continue to bring creativity, excellence and expertise to our clients and every project we take on. Finishing touches are already being applied to 2026 events across DC, NYC, Seattle, Bay Area, and Austin, and we can’t wait to see what else is in store!
