Agora stands at the forefront of the real-time engagement ecosystem. They offer robust APIs that empower developers to seamlessly integrate real-time voice, video, interactive streaming, chat, and artificial intelligence features into their applications. Our event management team at cred helped bring Agora’s 2019 Real Time Communications conference to life in San Francisco and was able to collaborate for RTE2022 after 2 years of postponement due to the pandemic.

event goals.

The objective of AllThingsRTC 2019 and RTE2022, fueled by Agora, was to create a real-time engagement conference that unites the most cutting-edge technologies, tools, and individuals from around the world and beyond. By transcending physical limitations and exploring new avenues of interaction, the event brings our communities together to acquire knowledge and resources, connect and gain insights from industry peers and experts, and disseminate fresh ideas for innovation. AllThingsRTC 2019 and RTE2022 spanned the globe with in-person elements in San Francisco and virtual aspects for worldwide attendance.

how we work with Agora.

  • venue research and coordination: In our collaboration with the client, we undertook the essential task of venue research. Our dedicated team worked closely with the Agora team to identify the ideal San Francisco location for their conference in 2019 and 2022. With a keen understanding of their preferences and capacity requirements, we pinpointed venues situated in the heart of San Francisco, prioritizing factors like accessibility, ambiance, and functionality. Once the final venue was determined for each event, the cred team managed all venue communications and coordination. For RTE2022, this included adjusting the date and evaluating local Covid-19 restrictions from 2020-2022.

  • vendor coordination: Additionally, the cred team took on the responsibility of vendor coordination for AllThingsRTC 2019 and RTE2022. As the central point of contact, we managed all aspects of vendor relationships, from audio-visual services, catering, furniture rentals, photography, videography, DJ, karaoke, badges, and signage. Our role was to streamline communication, guarantee seamless service delivery, and maintain an efficient vendor network to execute the client's vision for the event. This allowed the client to focus on their core responsibilities while we handled the intricate details of vendor management.

At RTE2022, City View provided a blank space venue which meant we had to carefully analyze the venue's floor layout to maximize its potential. We strategically positioned the main stage area towards the back of the space and ensured guests could see the stage from multiple vantage points including from registration. We placed interactive sponsor booths and networking zones in between registration and the main stage to encourage engagement and flow, making sure attendees could easily navigate the space. Additionally, we considered factors such as traffic flow, access to restrooms, and proximity to catering stations when deciding where to put everything, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

  • speaker management: At AllThingsRTC 2019, we oversaw all speaker communications for 35 speakers and two agenda tracks. We developed the agenda schedule, scheduled and moderated prep calls, created and distributed logistics briefing documents, coordinated travel, and managed all speaker needs onsite.

  • onsite management: On the day of both conferences, our involvement extended to onsite management and run of show creation. With a meticulous eye for detail and a dedication to ensuring every aspect of the event ran smoothly, 9 team members were on-site to oversee and manage operations. This included checking in 250 attendees, ensuring everyone met the health and safety protocols in 2022, checking in speakers, coordinating the various vendors, deliveries, and installs, troubleshooting any unforeseen issues, and ensuring that the event's schedule was adhered to. Our onsite presence was pivotal in providing the client with peace of mind, knowing that their event was in capable hands from start to finish.
