GlacierGrid (previously Therma) is on a mission to combat climate change by eliminating food and energy waste from the global cooling system. GlacierGrid leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to build smart cooling technologies to reduce emissions and improve grid resilience of distributed energy resources through refrigeration as a way to help power the grid across food and healthcare industries. GlacierGrid is deployed across restaurants, retailers, distributors and manufacturers worldwide, with leading brands including McDonalds, Starbucks, NOW Foods, 7-Eleven and Marriott Hotels. In 2024, GlacierGrid anticipates its technology will result in over 1 million metric tons in CO2E savings.
