Saastr is the world’s largest community of SaaS executives, founders, and entrepreneurs. They specialize in helping companies get from $0-$100m ARR through engaging content and connecting with the SaaS community. SaaStr APAC brought founders, executives, and SaaS-enthusiasts together in Singapore for their inaugural SaaStr APAC event. cred was brought along to assist with speaker and content management to ensure that SaaStr’s well-known standards were upheld and quality content was delivered to their APAC audience.

The goal of SaaStr APAC is to expand SaaStr’s US and European event presence to Asia, while connecting with their APAC readers and community members.


how we work with SaaStr.

cred works closely with SaaStr to curate speakers and content for all of SaaStr’s events. For SaaStr APAC, the cred team’s scope of work included:

  • Speaker Management and Recruitment: The cred team’s speaker management started at speaker recruitment. Our team actively recruits speakers, reviews speaker submissions, and curates a lineup of speakers that will connect to SaaS leaders and founders. cred then manages speaker communications through speaker briefs, newsletters, emails and webinars. We work with speakers every step of the way.

  • Agenda Creation: We build event agendas in collaboration with the SaaStr team to highlight the content that matters on the stages that will work best for their audience.

  • Content Management: We have firm content standards at SaaStr. We work hard to deliver content that is tactical and useful to our audience. We require diverse panels, no manels (all male panels), and allow 0 product promotion on stage. We review all content twice prior to the event to make sure presentations reach the SaaStr standard.

  • Sponsor Speaker Management: We are connected with sponsor speakers to give them a high-touch experience while maintaining and reinforcing our content standards. We require sponsor speaking opportunities to be thought leadership based versus sales based and monitor this balance closely.

  • Onsite Management: Our team was lucky enough to be onsite in Singapore! We greeted each speaker in our green room, provided swag, checked them in, and escorted them to their stage. We prepped each speaker regarding the onstage experience and reminded them of all logistics prior to show time. We worked closely with the AV team to ensure sessions ran smoothly which involved multiple tech checks, run-of-show edits, and livestreaming tests to provide a smooth attendee and speaker experience.
