Employee Spotlights: Meet Our 2021 New Hires! (Part 1)

Since the start of 2021, the cred team has grown so much across the company—especially our event and speaker management teams. From January through today, we’ve welcomed several new members to cred ready to take the events world by storm—from pitching clients for conferences and speaking opportunities to hands-on event planning!

Here is our first edition announcing some of our newest team members this year that we are thrilled to have on board.

What excites you the most about working at cred?

Raquel Gueits, HR and Office Admin: The people and learning about so many new industries.

Kathryn Kemp, Coordinator (event management): Being a part of a small, dynamic team.

Caitlin Harper, Event Planner: I love that cred is a company built by women and comprised of all women.

Alyx Saupe, Event Planner: I love all things planning and events, so I’m looking forward to seeing conferences come to life from start to finish (especially with in-person events on their way back).

Maddie Wolfe, Coordinator (speaker management): What excites me the most about cred is the people! cred has such a great community and support across the company. I have loved getting to know everyone and am excited to develop those relationships further! I am also really excited for when I begin to get my own clients and begin working with them.

Kyla Goss, Associate (speaker management): The opportunity to think strategically about how to put forth our clients and further establish them as thought leaders in their industries.

Kyra Tillmans, Associate (speaker management): I've always had an interest in events, but pursued a more traditional PR career instead. Working at cred allows me to merge these worlds together.

Natalie Matheny, Coordinator (speaker management): The people! Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive since day one. I love watching us reach our goals as a team and celebrating our wins together. I truly couldn’t be more grateful to be surrounded by so much positivity!

Annalycia Escobar, Coordinator (speaker management): The amazing women I get to learn and work with!

What is one event you’d love to attend?

Raquel: TBEX Europe.

Kathryn: It would be the coolest to someday attend the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico City or Paris.

Caitlin: I would love to see the Met Gala for fashion, Coachella for music.

Alyx: SXSW, POPSUGAR Play/Ground, Consensus, and WSJ's Tech Live events are all at the top of my list.

Maddie: One of my 3-month goals is to attend a cred event! I am looking into a virtual event to attend and am excited to see our work come to life and watch one of our clients speak. Apart from cred, I have always wanted to check out Coachella or BottleRock!

Kyla: I'd love to attend CultureCon NY or Sundance Film Festival!

Kyra: The Royal Ascot Horse Race in the UK. I was an equestrian (leisure) in my younger years, and have always wanted to experience a race. Unlike the US-based races, The Royal Ascot will allow me to wear a super fancy hat AND get a glimpse of the Queen's corgis.

Natalie: I would love to go to Posty Fest, Post Malone’s festival he hosts and headlines. I am a huge fan of his so that would be a dream to attend.

Annalycia: Web Summit (the speaker list looks amazing).

Can you share one interesting fact about yourself?

Raquel: I lived in Madrid, Spain after college for 10 months before COVID hit. I was teaching English to high school students and traveling across Europe.

Kathryn: I've written for three different newspaper publications!

Caitlin: I have my 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training.

Alyx: I have traveled to 45+ countries!

Maddie: My family and I are volunteers through the SPCA and have fostered over 20 puppies!

Kyla: I have a really nice/growing collection of coffee table books; I do not, however, have a coffee table for them.

Kyra: I'm bilingual. I was born and raised in The Netherlands and moved to the United States after high school. I practiced my American accent by competing in intercollegiate public speaking tournaments while in college.

Natalie: My name, Natalie, means born on Christmas Day and my birthday is on Christmas!

Annalycia: If I didn’t go the traditional college route, I may have gone to culinary school to become a chef. My dream is to open up a little bistro!
