credService Q2-Q4 Recap

 

Over the last few quarters, our credService team has organized educational and impactful opportunities that have allowed both our speaking and event management teams to give back to meaningful causes. Today we’re looking back at the service initiatives we’ve completed throughout Q2-Q4. 

Q2 Service Opportunity: Juneteenth 2023
For our Q2 activity, we focused our efforts around Juneteenth. We created a resource guide for our team which included history about Juneteenth, organizations our team could donate to, educational resources such as books and podcasts, and opportunities for our team to participate in Juneteenth events in their local area. 

Q3 Service Opportunity: National Food Bank Day
In honor of National Food Bank Day which takes place every first Friday of September, we hosted a food drive with the Alameda County Community Food Bank, which has been around for more than 35 years and distributes millions of meals each year. Together we raised $600 which was used to buy non-perishable food including canned soups, macaroni and cheese, canned meats and tuna, and canned entrees. Their team is always grateful for donations, and it was nice to tie our donations to National Food Bank Day! 


Q4 Service Opportunity: Hamilton Families Holiday Wishlists
For our last opportunity of 2024, we partnered with Hamilton Families, whose mission is to end family homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area. This year they hosted a holiday gift drive, where we had the opportunity to sponsor three holiday wish lists and send gifts to families and individuals. With our remaining funds, we were also able to make a monetary donation to their organization. We were so happy to fulfill some holiday wishes! 

As a team, we believe it’s really important to facilitate opportunities for philanthropy in the workplace (read why here), and we are grateful to have the opportunity to give back to so many wonderful organizations. Our four service initiatives this year are also recapped on the Pledge 1% blog.
