Closing out 2021, we are excited to announce our small but mighty team has now grown to a total of 24 credians taking the world of events by storm. Earlier this year, we highlighted nine of our newest team members. Since then, we have welcomed three additional members to our speaker management team. Get to know more about them below!
At cred, our Culture Club pulls together monthly events and activities to help keep our team together, even when we are miles apart. Throughout October, Culture Club hosted activities both in the office and virtually. Since the pandemic, our team has shifted to promote the hybrid era and our team is now spread across 6 states, so we’ve made it a goal to continue offering in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
Since the start of 2021, the cred team has grown so much across the company—especially our event and speaker management teams. Since January, we’ve welcomed several new members to cred ready to take the events world by storm—from pitching clients for conferences and speaking opportunities to hands-on event planning!
Here is our first edition announcing some of our newest team members this year that we are thrilled to have on board.
This past year has been anything but easy—Year 5 to 6 was the hardest one yet, (and felt more like a decade!). This time last year there was a lot of chaos, despair, and uncertainty, especially for our industry. Fortunately, we’re in a much more positive, hopeful position with live events returning and the continued creativity and expansion our industry is currently experiencing; an exciting time.
This week cred was joined by Valerie Jackson (Procor), Lili Gangas (Kapor Center), and Wahab Owolabi (URx & Facebook) for an important discussion on how event professionals can incorporate diversity and inclusion into their events. Diving into the impact of agendas featuring all-female speakers, to tracks focused on tech for POC, this interactive panel shared their insights into what will shape the events industry and agendas curated moving forward.
While we’ve been happily swamped with virtual conferences, managing speaking opportunities, and all else events-related, the people of cred have fortunately still found time to cross a few books off our reading lists.
