Event Spotlight: Talking Tech at Collision 2023

Last month, more than 36,000 attendees gathered in Toronto for Collision, an international tech conference that brings together influential buyers, sellers, emerging companies, and policymakers. As one of the largest tech events in North America, Collision features 20 tracks of content and numerous other activities like speaker-only dinners, roundtable discussions, mentoring hours, masterclasses, and a show floor featuring the latest in tech innovation. It’s a room you want to be in—and this year, cred had 14 speakers confirmed on the program!

This year's agenda focused on the ever-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and machine learning across a spectrum of industries that welcome innovation and propel ideas forward. Attendees heard from founders, creators, operators, investors, and venture capital firms like Max Lytvyn, Co-Founder of Grammarly, Thomas Dohmke, CEO of GitHub, Rebecca Lynn, Co-Founder & General Partner at Canvas Ventures, Jeff Shiner, CEO of 1Password,  Vishal Sunak, Co-Founder & CEO of LinkSquares, Juju Smith-Schuster, Super Bowl LVII Champ & Wide Receiver for the New England Patriots, and content creator Michael Le.

Contrarian beliefs around the future of AI came from Geoffrey Hinton, former Google engineer and fondly recognized as the “godfather of AI,” as he explained potential impacts on society to a packed audience. Concerns on the state of Crypto and Web3 were also addressed across many panels including one where Jennifer Sanasie, News Anchor & Producer of CoinDesk, interviewed Jaime Leverton, Hut 8 Mining CEO, and Thiago Cesar, CEO of Transfero Group

Our top highlights from the three-day event include:
