Healthcare innovation is moving at a rapid pace, and ViVE 2026 will take to Los Angeles next February to once again set the agenda for the year ahead in healthcare IT and digital health. Hosted by HLTH and CHIME, the event brings together senior digital health executives and health information technology leaders from across the public and private sectors to hear major industry announcements, bold ideas, and transformative strategies in dynamic formats—from panels and case studies to keynote presentations, point-counterpoint debates. ViVE is where the future of healthcare gets made.
Perfectly timed with the ViVE Call for Speakers opening, we sat down with Leah Callahan, Senior Content Manager at HLTH, to hear the ViVE story and key reminders for the speaker submission process. Be sure to take note of her tips before applying to take the stage at ViVE by the October 15 deadline!
How ViVE has evolved since day one?
Leah: We started at "let's talk about digital health" and evolved into "less talking, more proving." It's been a shift from evangelism to evidence. The program actively hunts for people who aren't just moving needles, but who are willing to share the real story of how it happens.
What puts speakers on our radar year-round?
Leah: We're researchers at heart, constantly monitoring who's breaking new ground versus just making noise. The speakers leading with real implementation, consistently publishing research, or calling out industry hype months before submissions even open are already in our notes for 2026.
Most common submission mistakes?
Leah: Pitching safe, solved problems instead of the messy ones everyone's avoiding. Also: confusing thought leadership with product demos disguised as insights.
Dream speaker?
Leah: Too many in the works to jinx this!
What attendees should know?
Leah: The content is designed to spark the real conversations that happen in hallways between sessions. Our job is simply to tee up attendees with the insights and connections they need to close deals, forge lasting partnerships, and tackle the problems that extend far beyond our event.
